<p>The present invention relates to a data processing system and, more specifically, to a method for processing an error correcting code of a host device and a data storage device included in a data processing system. The method for operating the data processing system comprising the data storage device and the host device comprises a step for reading data stored in the data storage device and performing an error correcting code decoding operation for the read data by using the data storage device and a step for transferring the error correcting code decoding operation to the host device when the error correcting code decoding operation performed by using the data storage device fails.</p> |
