The present invention relates to a display device and a driving method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the display device comprises: a display panel which includes a plurality of pixels; a data driving unit which applies a data voltage to a plurality of data lines of the display panel; a gate driving unit which transmits a gate signal to a plurality of gate lines of the display panel; and a signal control unit which controls the data driving unit and the gate driving unit and includes a signal processing unit. The signal processing unit comprises: a memory which stores an input image signal of an (N-1)^th row (N is a natural number equal to or greater than two) and an input image signal of an N^th row; and a coupling index calculation unit which calculates a coupling index indicating a charging coupling degree between adjacent rows. The signal processing unit compensates the input image signal of the N^th row by using the input image signal of the (N+1)^th row, the input image signal of the (N-1)^th row received from the memory, the input image signal of the N^th row, and the calculated coupling index, and generates a compensation image signal for a pixel of the N^th row.
