PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic device which can form a high- quality image with high contrast while high durability is contrived by using an a-Si drum even when image forming aberration or a focusing error is caused. CONSTITUTION:By finding out that the half-decreased sensitivity of the photoreceptor depends on the film thickness thereof specially in the case of the a-Si photoreceptor, specially setting the film thickness to be <=25mum and setting the half-decreased sensitivity of the photoreceptor required for lowering exposure potential to 1/2 of the surface potential of the layer of the photoreceptor to be within the range of 8-1cm<2>/muJ, only center light quantity is picked up without picking up the light quantity as much as light aberration caused by the image forming error or the other. As the result, the high-quality dot image with high contrast or high definition can be formed. |
