PURPOSE:To improve hazardness of handling such as erosion of hands and loss of eyesight, etc., in the developing process and to improve processability of a waste liquid for discharging by forming a photosensitive layer comprising a photosensitive compsn. containing a specified polymer compd. in a binder resin on a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:A polymer compd. containing a structure expressed by formula as the structural unit is incorporated into a binder resin. A photosensitive layer comprising a photosensitive compsn. containing this binder resin is formed on a supporting body to obtain a photosensitive planographic printing plate. In formula, R1, R2 are alkyl groups or aryl groups. This photosensitive planographic printing plate is developed with a water-base alkali developer of pH<=12 substantially containing no solvent. Namely, by incorporating the compd. into the binder, the obtd. plate has improved sensitivity, developing property, gradation and chemical resistance and can be developed with a water- base alkali developer of pH<12. Thus, problems concerning to a developer of high alkali state can be avoided. |
