PURPOSE:To obtain a color photographic material capable of shortening the time for developing and giving sufficient image density by incorporating a specific diffusion resistant coupler. CONSTITUTION:In a silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one layer of a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a supporting body, the diffusion resistant coupler expressed by a following formula is incorporated. Cp-O-C(=O)-N(R1)-Ar-X In the formula, Cp represents coupler residual group capable of releasing -O-C(=O)N(R1)-Ar-X by the coupling reaction with an oxidized color developing main chemicals, Ar represents allylene group, X represents amino group, alkoxyl group or hydroxyl group, R1 represents hydrogen atom or substituent. The coupler is added into the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer or an adjacent layer and particularly, preferably added into the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer.
