<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the certainty of the count of packets, or the accuracy of the count of packets.SOLUTION: A packet count system includes a branch device for copying a packet transferred to a network, and branching the packet thus copied, and two count sections each including an entry table for storing the count of packets corresponding to the address of the packet thus branched, where one count section counts the packets and stores the count of packets in the entry table, while the other count section outputs the count of packets stored in the entry table, a receiving section for receiving the packet thus branched, outputting the received packet to one count section, and switching the processing of one and the other count sections at a predetermined time interval, and a plurality of count devices subjected to mutual time synchronization and each having a storage section for storing the count of packets corresponding to the address of the packet.</p> |
