An imaging device pertaining to an embodiment of the present invention is equipped with: an optical system that has n (n is an integer equal to or greater than 2) optical regions that are arranged substantially perpendicularly to an optical axis; an imaging unit that has multiple groups of n pixels and converts incident light on each pixel into a pixel signal by means of photoelectric conversion; an array-like optical unit that is positioned between the optical system and the imaging unit and has multiple optical components arranged therein, wherein each optical component causes light passing through each of the n optical regions to enter the n pixels of a group that corresponds to the optical region; a memory unit for storing a coefficient group that is composed of a matrix comprising n rows and n columns of components expressed as Rik (i and k are integers that satisfy 1≤i≤n and 1≤k≤n); and an arithmetic unit that receives the coefficient group from the memory unit and calculates n converted pixel signals (x'1, x'2, …, x'n) from the n pixel signals (x1, x2, …, xn) obtained from each group of the imaging unit in accordance with the following formula.
