PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core paper tube for a toilet paper roll exhibiting a deodorization effect to bad odor, especially ammonia odor, in a toilet regardless of the usage state of the toilet paper roll.SOLUTION: In a core paper tube having a pH value on a paper surface of the core paper tube of 3.5 or less for a toilet paper roll, an alkaline bad odor substance such as ammonia and the like can be neutralized and deodorized by making pH on a paper surface of the core paper tube acidic.
