<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treatment and/or prevention of rheumatoid arthritis.SOLUTION: A method is provided for treating rheumatoid arthritis in a subject, the method comprising administering an anti-IL-1βantibody or fragment thereof to the subject, wherein administration of an initial dose of the antibody or antibody fragment is followed by the administration of one or more subsequent doses, and wherein the initial dose and each one or more subsequent doses are administered at an interval of once a week to once every six months. And the method is also used in conjunction with at least one additional treatment method, the additional treatment method comprising administering at least one pharmaceutical composition comprising an active agent other than an IL-1βantibody or fragment.</p> |
