1. A measuring cell for carrying out chemical and biochemical analyses, the cell being composed of two movable parts, said parts being an inner part or a piston and an outer part or a cylinder wherein:
i) the two parts can move in respect to each other so that the inner part, or piston, can move inside the outer part or cylinder, in a change from an initial preparedness position to a measuring position; ii) the inner part being of solid material and containing components in dry stage needed to carry out the analyses, iii) the outer part having a liquid reservoir which contains liquid needed to perform the analyses, iv) the inner part containing an active surface and in the initial preparedness position a sample to be analyzed can be introduced through at least one hole onto the active surface; v) when the device is changed from the initial preparedness position to the measuring position by pushing the inner part or piston inside the outer part or cylinder, a tip of the inner part protrudes into the liquid reservoir while the liquid in the reservoir erupts off onto the active surface and is washing it; vi) the liquid erupting from the liquid reservoir onto the active surface flows through the at least one hole into a waste reservoir or is absorbed into a porous material around the active surface; and vii) analytes in the sample bound to the active surface are measured through the outer part of the cell. |
