PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor capable of suppressing magnetic saturation, improving inductance and reducing a loss without increasing the size, and that can be used for a driving power supply system of a hybrid automobile or an electric automobile.SOLUTION: A reactor comprises a core 2 formed of a magnetic body, and a coil 4 wound around the core. An air gap is provided between the core and the coil. When a cross sectional area of the core at a part where the coil is wound is defined as Sc, and an area of a region obtained by combining an area of the air gap surrounded by the wound coil and the cross sectional area of the core is defined as Sr, 1.1≤Sr/Sc is satisfied. |
