PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery case showing excellent corrosion resistance and hardly causing deterioration of an electrolyte even at charging and discharging, in a lithium ion battery having a charge potential of 5 V or more.SOLUTION: A battery case includes an electrolyte comprising a fluorine-containing lithium salt dissolved in a solvent containing a dinitrile compound and at least one of a chain carbonic ester, a cyclic carbonic ester and a cyclic carboxylate ester, is in contact with a positive electrode or a negative electrode, and is used for a lithium ion battery having a voltage of 5 V or more at charging. At least a part in contact with the electrolyte of the battery case is formed of a base material comprising SUS 316 or SUS 316L or a base material comprising titanium or nickel. |
