An optical carrier microwave gyroscope method for measuring angular velocity provides a bi-directional photoelectric oscillator used for measuring rotational angular velocity. Using frequency-locking technology, one direction of microwave oscillation frequency is locked into a highly stable standard time reference source, thus stabilizing the relative cavity length of the other direction of the photoelectric oscillator, eliminating the temperature drift and parasitic optical noise of fiber-optic-ring-shaped cavities, and greatly enhancing the signal to noise ratio of a bi-directional oscillation differential frequency signal brought about by the Sagnac effect. Measurement accuracy is high, and implementation simple. |
