<p>A flow meter for coaxial type flow meter sockets is provided. The flow meter is configured to have flow path branches sampling inlet flow from the socket around the perimeter of the socket and outlet branches intercalated with the inlet branches, in order to reduce the effect of the relative orientation of the meter and the socket on the flow behaviour inside the meter. This facilitates the use of a static flow detection arrangement, for example using ultrasound or electromagnetic detection mechanisms, specifically facilitating calibration of the detection mechanism without knowledge of the relative orientation between the meter and the socket once installed in the field.</p> |
