摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a catheter for an OCT apparatus and the catheter for the OCT apparatus capable of suppressing manufacturing costs while reducing work time and reducing fracture of a fusion-splicing portion between a short length optical fiber and interior body side optical fiber.SOLUTION: A catheter 1A for an OCT apparatus comprises: an interior body 10 which has an optical fiber built-in and is to be inserted into a human body; a metal tube 20 for guiding the interior body 10; and an optical connector unit 30. The optical connector unit 30 includes a ferrule assembly including a short length optical fiber and a ferrule fixed on the side of one end of the short length optical fiber, and is to be connected to a rotary joint of the OCT apparatus. A fusion-splicing unit obtained by connecting the other end of the short length optical fiber and one end of the optical fiber built in the interior body 10 with each other is positioned in the metal tube 20.
