PURPOSE: To detect a specific binding ligand by an assay utilizing an immobilization receptor of ligand, a reporter enzyme, an inhibition antibody, and anti- inhibition antibody. CONSTITUTION: Both antibodies are specific to the reporter enzyme. An inhibition antibody effectively cuts off the activity of the reporter enzyme, when it is joined with the reporter enzyme. The antiinhibition antibody does not have an influence to the activity of the enzyme, even if it is bound with the reporter enzyme, and inhibits the binding of the inhibition antibody. In the assay, the separating or washing process is not used, and a signal is generated in direct proportion to the target specific binding ligand.
