MEDICAL SPRAYING DEVICE WITH PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPRAY CONE Abstract A medical spraying device for irrigating a wound, in particular lavage system, comprises a liquid reservoir (16) for a medical irrigation liquid (18) or a connection for such a liquid reservoir (16) and a compressed gas reservoir (4), wherein the compressed gas reservoir (4) is connected or connectable via a pressure line (9) to the liquid reservoir (16), such that the irrigation liquid (18) can be pushed by the gas pressure of the compressed gas reservoir (4) acting on the irrigation liquid (18) through a nozzle (24, 52) in order to produce a spray cone (58), wherein at least one pressure relief valve (14, 15) is arranged in the wall of the pressure line (9) which opens outwardly and closes the pressure line (9) in accordance with the gas pressure from the compressed gas reservoir (4).
