<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support macrocell vs femtocell hand-in.SOLUTION: In order to detect a fact that there is a mobile device in the neighborhood of a femtocell, an out-of-band (OOB) link is used. When a mobile device is detected, OOB neighborhood detection is communicated to a femtocell gateway disposed in a core network, for effective advanced registration of the mobile device in a femto convergence system. Even when the femtocell gateway receives a handover request suggesting a mobile device of advanced registration from a macro network, or the identification information of an appropriate target femtocell is unreliable, an appropriate target femtocell to be used for hand-in according to the advanced registration is determined reliably. Furthermore, registration of a mobile device after occurrence of a handover request is also processed including gradual approach.</p> |
