PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which shortens computation time of a computer when comparing positions and/or attitudes between a measurement object and a model of the measurement object.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus for matching positions and/or attitudes between a measurement object and a model of the measurement object, includes: acquisition means for acquiring a captured image of the measurement object; calculation means for calculating information representing a surface shape of the measurement object, on the basis of the captured image; and limiting means for limiting the position and/or the attitude of the model, on the basis of the information representing the surface shape.
