The purposes of the present invention are: to eliminate an electrode on a top cell (T) of a multi-junction compound solar cell, said electrode blocking solar light; to provide a multi-junction compound solar cell having a structure that is not easily broken in manufacture steps; and to shorten a manufacture lead time of a multi-junction compound solar battery. A multi-junction compound solar cell (10) has: a multi-junction cell laminate having the top cell (T) and a bottom cell (B); a transparent electrode (12), which is disposed on the light incoming surface of the top cell (T); a lower electrode (9a) having potential of the bottom cell (B); and a side-surface electrode (16a), which is disposed on the side surface of the solar cell (10) with an insulating layer (17) therebetween, and is electrically connected to the transparent electrode (12). In the multi-junction compound solar cell (10), the side-surface electrode (16a) is led out to the position of the lower electrode (9a). |
