A needle shield (110) for an injection needle assembly (100) is provided. The needle shield (110) comprises a proximal base plate (111), said base plate (111) having an opening (113) for allowing a needle shaft (103) to run there through, and a distal cover plate (115), said cover plate (115) having an opening (116) for allowing the needle shaft (103) to run there through. A skin adhesive material is arranged on the distal side of the distal cover plate (115). An injection needle assembly (100) comprising such a needle shield is also provided. |
