PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient light emitting device having high color rendering properties, which minimizes a decrease in luminous efficiency in a state where a general color rendering index Ra and a special color rendering index R9 are kept at high values, and which can be used for use as general lighting.SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: at least one light emitting element 6 which emits light having a peak emission wavelength in a near-ultraviolet or blue region; a green phosphor which is excited by primary light emitted from the light emitting element 6 and emits light having a peak emission wavelength in a green region; a first red phosphor which is excited by the primary light and has a peak emission wavelength in a red region; a second red phosphor which is excited by the primary light and has a peak emission wavelength different from that of the first red phosphor in the red region; and a domal phosphor layer 5 formed by injection of a transparent resin obtained by mixture of three kinds of phosphors such as the green phosphor, the first red phosphor and the second red phosphor on an opening 20 of a liquid-repellent layer 21, for encapsulating the light emitting element 6. |
