PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of eliminating waste of ink in terms of image processing.SOLUTION: An image processing method of an image output device which stores two or more color conversion tables including a first color conversion table which suppresses use of a prescribed color material comprises the steps of: acquiring residual amount information of the prescribed color material remaining in the image output device; selecting the first color conversion table from the two or more color conversion tables when determining that a residual amount of the prescribed color material is less than a predetermined threshold value on the basis of the acquired residual amount information; and converting an input color image signal to color signals of two or more kinds of color materials on the basis of the selected first color conversion table.
