摘要 A transmission terminal communicates with a reception terminal using a first communication path (a 60 GHz band) or a second communication path (a 2.4 GHz band or 5 GHz band). A first communication path connection detector 17 detects the connection or disconnection of the first communication path to or from the reception terminal. A throughput measurement section measures the throughputs of the first communication path and the second communication path. On the basis of the result of the detection of the connection or disconnection and the throughputs of the first communication path and the second communication path, a terminal controller judges whether or not to switch a communication path for data transfer. A communication path switch switches the communication path for data transfer to the first communication path or the second communication path.

A communication terminal for communicating with a destination terminal using a first communication path and a second communication path, the communication terminal comprising: a data transfer section that transfers data to be transferred to the destination terminal to the destination terminal via the first communication path or the second communication path; a first communication path connection detector that detects a connection or disconnection of the first communication path with the destination terminal; a throughput measurement section that measures at least one of the throughputs of the first communication path and the second communication path; a terminal controller that judges whether or not to switch the communication path for data transfer on the basis of the result of the detection of the connection or disconnection of the first communication path and at least one of the throughputs of the first communication path and the second communication path; and a communication path switch that switches the communication path for data transfer to the first communication path or the second communication path in a case that it is judged that the communication path for data transfer is switched.
