摘要 The present invention provides a method to cool a mold for improving strength of a lateral wall of a hot press formed product, and a mold structure for improving strength of a lateral wall of a hot press formed product. According to the present invention, a method to cool a mold for improving strength of a lateral wall of a hot press formed product, and a mold structure for improving strength of a lateral wall of a hot press formed product are capable of uniformly increasing intensity of the entire area of a hot press molded product comprising a lateral wall by directly cooling the hot press molded product while coolant is supplied to the surface of the lateral wall of the hot press molded product closely attached inside a mold. According to the present invention, the method to cool a mold for improving strength of a lateral wall of a hot press formed product comprises: a hot press molding step of forming a hot press molded product by hot press molding a material arranged between an upper mold and a lower mold consisting of a mold in a set hot forming temperature range; and a molded product cooling step of increasing strength of the hot press molded product by cooling the hot press molded product arranged between the upper mold and the lower mold, and under the pressure of the set size in a set cooling temperature range. In the molded product cooling step, intensity of the entire area of a hot press molded product comprising a lateral wall is uniformly increased by directly cooling the hot press molded product while coolant is supplied to the surface of the lateral wall of the hot press molded product.
