STREAMING BY BROADCAST DISTRIBUTION OF OPTION OF DATA SEGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device that are able to efficiently use network resources in the case where data is streamed in a mobile communication network.SOLUTION: A description file 100 of a stream 200 is provided. The description file 100 includes a list of distribution source identifiers 110 such as a URI for unicast distribution of a data segment 210 of the stream. A broadcast index 120 is selectively added to the description file 100 to indicate that the broadcast distribution of the data segment 210 is usable. Adding the broadcast index 120 and starting the broadcast distribution are achieved based on the popularity of the stream.
