<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load control device capable of suppressing generation of a high voltage caused by blowout of a load, of preventing a rush current from being flown in the load at AC power on, and that enables constant current control depending on a luminous intensity control signal.SOLUTION: A load control device 1 comprises: phase control means 2 that can feed power to a plurality of loads 14 fed via a plurality of saturable devices 13 connected in series to each other, by phase control of an output voltage of an AC power supply Vs; bypass means 3 that can apply a bypass current that is reduced so as to bypass the phase control means 2; a switch device 4 turning on and off an input of the output voltage of the AC power supply Vs to the phase control means 2 and the bypass means 3; and control means 5, when the switch device 4 is turned off from a turn-on state, gradually reducing a firing angle of the phase control means 2 so that an output of the phase control means 2 becomes a set output value, and then, starting the application of the bypass current by the bypass means 3.</p> |
