HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET AND QUENCH PROTECTING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a high-temperature superconducting magnet capable of preventing the generation of local heat even if quench locally occurs at a superconducting coil and lowering no detecting accuracy of the quench by the influence of an external magnetic field and a method for protecting the quench. CONSTITUTION: A coil 10 for forming a high-temperature superconducting magnet has a plurality of double pancake coils 12. The coils 12 is obtained by laminating a high-temperature superconducting wire material 14 and a conductor 16 via insulation resin 18. The material 14 is electrically connected at the upper and lower coils 12 to the ends by a connecting member 20. The conductor 16 similarly connect at the ends by a connecting member 22. The resin 18 insulates the material 14 and the conductor 16 to communicate in an excellent thermal manner.
