The invention relates to a method for producing a profiled ring, in particular a metal ring, to a method for post-processing a previously profiled ring, to a shaping device for carrying out both methods, and to a working machine, in particular a pressing and/or bending machine comprising at least one such shaping device. According to the invention, said the method consists of the following steps: providing a cylindrical ring (16) that comprises a front and a rear circumferential edge (16-1, 16-2) when seen in the axial direction and a lateral surface that is formed between the axial edges; arranging the cylindrical ring (16) in a die (12) such that the ring is temporarily supported, preferably in the region of the front and the rear circumferential edge (16-1, 16-2); shaping the cylindrical ring (16) into a profiled ring (16) in a continuous manner along the circumference of the ring (16) in sections by exerting pressure in an essentially radial direction (R) by means of at least one profiling element (14), said at least one profiling element (14) and said die (12) being moved relative to each other, in particular rotated relative to each other and/or moved linearly relative to each other. |
