摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloy material which is excellent in compatibility with a magnetic environment, e.g. MRI, has a magnetic susceptibility of ±4 ppm of the magnetic susceptibility of water and can realize artifact-freeness.SOLUTION: An alloy for medical treatment consists of an Au-Pt alloy, comprises 34-36 mass% Pt and remaining Au and has an α single-phase structure having a ratio (X/Y) of the peak intensity (X) of the Pt (111) plane to the peak intensity (Y) of the Au(111) plane of 0.01 or lower, in X-ray diffraction analysis. The alloy can be produced by melt-casting Au-Pt ingot and executing a heat treatment for cold working and homogenization twice or more.
