The preventive compositions for mastitis of dairy cattle comprises grapefruit seed extract(GFSE) and additives for stabilization of the GFSE. The grapefruit seed extract is a supernatant obtained by extracting powdered grapefruit with glycerin at 30 deg.C for 48 hr.. And the additives for stabilization of GFSE is propylene glycol and lactic acid.
