SILICONE GEL COMPOSITION EXCELLENT IN HEAT RESISTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone gel composition which gives a cured product excellent in heat resistance at a high temperature.SOLUTION: The silicone gel composition excellent in heat resistance contains: (A) an organopolysiloxane having one or more silicon atom-bonded alkenyl groups in one molecule; (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having two or more SiH groups in one molecule; (C) a platinum-based catalyst; and (D) a reaction product obtained by uniformly mixing (a) an organopolysiloxane whose viscosity at 25°C is 10-10,000 mPa s with (b) an iron carboxylate represented by formula (I) (RCOO)Fe (Ris a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and f is 3-4) and heat-treating the mixture at 120-300°C. The amount of iron in the component (D) is 1-100 ppm in the composition.
