PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver improved in accuracy of optical axis alignment in a polarization-maintaining optical fiber, and to provide an optical axis alignment method thereof.SOLUTION: An optical receiver includes: a package provided with an input window; a polarization-maintaining optical fiber fixed to the input window; a polarization beam splitter, provided on the package, to which light output from the polarization-maintaining optical fiber is input and which outputs first output light and second output light whose polarization directions are different from each other; a beam splitter provided on the package, which branches the first output light; a first light-receiving element which is optically coupled to the beam splitter and provided with two light-receiving parts corresponding to the two output light beams; and a second light-receiving element provided on the package, which receives the second output light. |
