PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a solenoid valve while maintaining an adjustment range of a necessary attenuation force characteristic in an attenuation force adjusting shock absorber.SOLUTION: An attenuation force is generated by controlling a flow of an oil liquid generated by a slide of a piston 5 in a cylinder 2 with respect to the elongation/contraction of a piston rod 6 by using an attenuation force generation mechanism 26. The attenuation force generation mechanism 26 comprises a pilot-type main valve 27 and a control valve 28 which introduce oil liquids into pilot chambers 31, 34, and adjust valve opening pressure of the chambers by the inner pressure, and a pilot valve 29 being a solenoid valve. The inner pressure of the pilot chamber 34 of the control valve 28 is controlled by the pilot valve 29, and the inner pressure of the pilot chamber 31 of the main valve 27 is controlled by the control valve 28. By this constitution, a flow rate of the pilot valve 28 can be decreased, and the solenoid valve can be reduced in size while maintaining an adjustment range of a necessary attenuation force characteristic.
|
