<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of securing a storage capacity while keeping useful image data unused.SOLUTION: The image reading device comprises: reading means for reading an image; determination means for determining whether or not the image read by the reading means is a blank paper; and storage control means for storing, in a storage unit, image data of the image read by the reading means. When storing image data, the storage control means associates and stores a result of determination by the determination means. When the remaining capacity of the storage unit becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold as a result of additional storage of image data, the storage control means deletes image data determined as a blank paper by the determination means, out of the image data stored already in the storage unit.</p> |
