<p>Microbes can be destroyed or inactivated by subjecting them to a high potential gradient. This fact does not lead to a practical process for disinfection unless the apparatus for its implementation incorporates certain features and, in addition thereto, the electrical, mechanical and chemical parameters of the process are appropriate to the particular desired disinfection. This application discloses practical apparatus which accomplishes these objectives and constitutes an innovation.</p> |
