Provided are: a handle structure which exhibits excellent durability, and with which a bag can be used for many years; and an attachment method therefor. In this bag handle structure, handles (14) attached to a bag main body (12) are each provided with: an outer handle member (50); and an inner handle member (70) having a portion thereof overlapping an inside of the outer handle member in a carrying area (A1). Each of the inner handle members (70) has one end thereof and another end thereof attached to an outer surface of the bag main body (12). Each of the outer handle members (50) has one end thereof and another end thereof attached to an outside of the bag main body such that, in an extension area extending in a direction towards a bottom of the bag main body (12) from an area overlapping the inner handle member (70), an appropriate clearance between said ends and parts (72, 74) of the inner handle member (70) which are attached to the bag main body (12) is provided. |
