Waste water treatment plant comprises: (a) a retro-fit module, which is incorporated in a water treatment plant, has >= 1 biological stage within a multistage treatment process in a single housing; (b) the housing has inlets surrendering waste water from a first stage of the water treatment plant, to the inlet of the module biological stage, and (c) a pipe for the return of cleaned waste water from the biological stage outlet, to a process stage, which from the process point of view is down flow from the first stage.
