The solar collector plant has a large surface area solar collector panel (8), which is inclined in dependence on the angle of the sun and through which the swimming pool water is circulated for heating and cleaning. The water is extracted from the edge of the swimming pool and is fed through a heating loop before provision of a thin water film fed through narrow channels for separation into its constituent parts, with removal of impurities before reformation of the water by condensation, for return to the swimming pool.
