PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali-resistant resin composition improved in alkali resistance, water vapor barrier property and mechanical strength by mixing an alkali-resistant thermoplastic resin with a scaly filler coated with an alkaline metal. SOLUTION: The surface of a scaly filler having a thickness of 0.3-15μm and an aspect ratio of 5-10,000 is coated with an alkaline metal of a thickness of 0.01-5μm. One hundred (100) pts.wt. alkali-resistant thermoplastic resin is mixed with 0.01-150 pts.wt. alkaline-metal-coated scaly filler.
