The clip is designed to bear a token such as an identity tag, a medallion, a medical warning or a memento, such that it may be connected via the clip to a key ring or other object. A mouth is distal to a loop which bears the token in isolation from other objects within the clip. Engagement and disengagement of the key ring or other object is achieved after manually aligning it with the outer or inner aspect of the mouth and then applying force to secure free passage into or out of the clip. The shape and position of both the inner and outer aspects of the mouth cause it to protrude into the interior of the clip.
