PREDICTING LONG-TERM EFFICACY OF COMPOUND IN TREATMENT OF PSORIASIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the efficacy of a compound for treating psoriasis on the basis of a pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic model in order to meet requirements for determining or predicting the long-term efficacy of many local and systemic therapies having been reported to be useful for treating psoriasis.SOLUTION: A method for predicting the efficacy of a psoriasis treatment comprises: preparing a pharmacokinetic model describing a pharmacokinetic profile of the treatment; preparing a pharmacodynamic model of the compound; and calculating a value of a psoriasis index from the pharmacodynamic model, thereby predicting the efficacy of the psoriasis treatment.
