The present invention relates to a system and a method for paying a toll using a mobile communication terminal. The system for paying a toll using a mobile communication terminal comprises: a hipass terminal which wirelessly communicates with a toll gate terminal and is installed on a vehicle; a mobile communication terminal communicating with the hipass terminal; an expressway corporation server which prestores hipass terminal information and vehicle information of the vehicle on which the hipass terminal is installed, and performs payment and authentication when payment request information is received from the mobile communication terminal; and a mobile communication company server which receives payment and authentication approval information from the expressway corporation server and adds the toll to a communication fee for the mobile communication terminal, which is authenticated by the expressway corporation server, such that the added amount is paid, wherein a payment application, which receives and registers the hipass terminal information and the vehicle information of the vehicle having the hipass terminal to the expressway corporation server, is installed on the mobile communication terminal. According to the invention, a hipass terminal can be used easily by using the application installed on the mobile communication terminal, and toll payment is performed by anyone who uses the mobile communication terminal on which the application is installed, such that toll payment money can be precharged or it can be prevented that an electronic card is lost. |
