<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus with a compact configuration, configured to reduce first-print time from heating standby, while preventing abnormal temperature increase around a heat source.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus includes: a heat source 23 for heating a rotatable endless fixing member 21 in a part other than a nip part N; and a reflection member 26 which reflects the heat applied to a rear face of the heat source 23 toward the fixing member 21. The reflection member 26 includes a shielding part 26a which is fixed and supported by a support member 25, and covers a range excluding a center along a width direction of a passing recording medium, to shield the heat applied from the heat source toward the fixing member.</p> |
