Disclosed are a method and device for a roaming mobile terminal to access a home location, which relate to the field of broadband intelligent services. The method comprises: after a roaming mobile terminal dials and accesses a voice mailbox access code, a local voice mailbox system sending a voice call request of the mobile terminal to a home voice mailbox system of the mobile terminal; the local voice mailbox system receiving a session description protocol message of the home voice mailbox system responding to the voice call request, and using a session description protocol message to establish a voice channel with the home voice mailbox system; and the local voice mailbox system sending a left voice message in the home voice mailbox system to the roaming mobile terminal through the voice channel. The present invention can improve the user experience and reduce the operation costs. |
