<p>An apparatus for processing of food objects (10) such as potatoes, which apparatus (1) comprises cutting means (16) for performing a plurality of essentially parallel cuts (14) from one side of a food object (10) towards the other side without cutting through the food object. The apparatus (1) further comprises positioning means for positioning the food object(10) while the cutting is being performed. The cutting means are mechanically power operated rotating cutting means and further the positioning means and the cutting means (16) are configured to cooperate to provide a cutting-free zone (18) of the food object (10), when the food object is positioned by said positioning means.</p> |
