The present invention relates to a generation apparatus based on salinity gradient. The present invention includes a fresh water tank for storing fresh water and a first generation unit which generates new generation energy based on the salinity gradient of the fresh water. The present invention for this reduces the area of a partition and storage capacity and improves generation capacity maximally since the solubility of sodium nitrate, which is an environment-friendly material, is higher than the solubility of existing sodium chloride. The present invention simplify partition processes due to removing an additional process by crystallization generated in a process of the condensation and evaporation of a partition unit. Furthermore, the present invention can reduce production costs since sodium nitrate is cheaper than existing sodium chloride, and make light and small generation apparatus due to low storage capacity.
