<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new conductive polymer which can perform an electro-chemical modulation and exhibits pearlessence. <P>SOLUTION: The optically active polythiophene is obtained by electrolytic polymerization of 2, 2'-bithiophene in cholesteric liquid crystal electrolyte solution, exhibits an optically visible fingerprint texture, and exhibits electrochemically driven light-interference modulation, chiroptical properties modulation, and refractive index modulation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
