摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner capable of maintaining the quantity of electric charges for a long time and excellent in durability by sticking an electrostatic charge controlling agent dissolved at the saturation concn. or below to the surfaces of toner particles, mixing the toner particles with a carrier and separating the toner particles. SOLUTION: An electrostatic charge controlling agent dissolved at the saturation concn. or below is stuck to the surfaces of toner particles, the toner particles are mixed with a carrier to produce a developer and the toner particles are separated from the developer with a mesh and collected with a cyclone to obtain the objective toner. The electrostatic charge controlling agent is preferably a zinc complex salt or a fluorine-contg. quat. ammonium salt represented by the formula (where Rf is C5 F11 to C11 F23 ). When the zinc complex salt is stuck, a high surface modifying effect is produced and the flowability of the toner as a characteristic of powder is improved. A quat. ammonium compd. exhibits stable negative chargeability by fluorination, and when surface treatment is carried out with the fluorine-contg. quat. ammonium salt, satisfactory stability of a charged state is ensured in any environment.</p>
