PICTURE GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture generator capable of performing high-speed access and accelerating a plotting speed while using an inexpensive frame butter. SOLUTION: Data from a plotting engine main part 101 are sent to a FIFO memory 102, tentatively stored and sent through an arithmetic unit 103 to a high-speed cache memory 104 and the data are exchanged between the cache memory 104 and the frame buffer 105. A cache controller 106 controls the cache memory 104 so as to look ahead the contents of the FIFO memory 102 to read and write the data of the same page capable of having high-speed access inside the frame buffer 105 altogether.
